This year Bodø BEAT is launching a separate weekend dedicated to knowledge, discoveries and inspiration - Bodø BEAT Academy, from May 18th-20th, 2024.

Within the Academy, Bodø BEAT aims to create a safe space in which young percussionists can complement each other's strengths and weaknesses to create and learn new techniques, share musical ideas, and delve into different areas of the creative process.

After a weekend full of masterclasses, discussions and workshops, academy participants will present a concert-showcase, where we will have a chance to hear young percussionists from all over the world.
