  • Days: Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
  • Area: Saltdal

Experience the world through the poetry of each flower on The Geopoetic Way. Lønsdal invites you on a geopoetic journey filled with mystique, tragedy, geology, literature, and spectacular nature. Enjoy a comfortable stay at the traditional Norwegian wooden hotel, Storjord Hotell, where nature and culture converge to create memorable moments.

Hop off the train and right into your rental car. The nature park and your hospitable hosts at Storjord Hotel are eagerly anticipating your arrival. After just over a quarter of an hour, you'll reach the hotel and Nordland National Park Centre. Set aside your mobile phone and let yourself be captivated as you step into the lush realm of Saltdalen.

The hosts welcome you to one of the smallest hotels in Norway. Take some time for yourself before the evening's experiential dinner. Lace up your hiking boots or unwind at the hotel before embarking on foot, strolling over the suspension bridge and into the Nordland National Park Centre. A journey into the Sami world awaits, providing insights into the area's history before dinner. Sami dishes, local ingredients, and tales from traditional life will be savored in a Sami "gamme". After a concluding evening coffee and lasso throwing, the evening's program is complete, and you can use the audio guide if you wish to take a stroll before rounding off the night.

After a restful night at the hotel, you have ample time to enjoy breakfast. Eat at your convenience and prepare for an excursion into nature. Suited for the weather, we embark on a 2-3 hour hike along established trails. Lunch will be served during the hike, and you'll eventually return to the hotel. After the walks, there's an opportunity to shop in the museum store, visit Adde Zetterquist's art gallery, and explore the National Park Exhibition.
